The last day of cycling is filled with breathtaking views which follows an old
railway track which leads to the entrance of the Monte Jato archaeological site and later to
the lake of Piana Degli Albanesi. Along the way enjoy “cannolo”, the typical Sicilian dessert
in Santa Cristina Gela. The day ends at the town of Monreale with arab origins along the slopes of Monte Caputo, 310m above sea level. In Monreale visit the Cathedral of Monreale (Duomo di Monreale) one of the greatest examples of Norman architecture, which was built in 1174 by William II of Sicily, and has been a Unesco World Heritage site since 2015.
